Navy Blues | The Run Home

'The Run Home' NXP x AFL series continues with an insight into the Carlton Football Club.
Navy Blues | The Run Home

Celebrating collaboration season and our latest launch of AFL supporter gear, join us on The Run Home, our latest blog series to see out to the finals. Expect to hear weekly updates on the 2024 AFL Premiership Season so far straight from the mouth of a true footy fan. Next off the blocks, the Blues.

After a miracle run heading deep into September last year, can the Blues back it up in 2024?

Carlton fans young and old were treated to one of the biggest what ifs in season 2023. What if the ball bounced our way? What if we kept the pressure on Brisbane when we had the chance? What if the fairytale finish concluded a week later, and not at the Gabba in a Preliminary Final loss?

Their fearless leader Patrick Cripps, who by all accounts continues to get better and better (if that’s even humanly possible), looks hellbent on going that one step further this year and delivering Baggers fans and the club back to the promised land.

A top 4 finish and second chance in finals is looking likely.

My ladder predictor has been getting a workout this season. In a season made difficult for tipsters and geared towards the underdog, the Blue Baggers are poised for a top 2 finish, going into each of their final few home and away games, you could argue, as the team to beat.

Stronger Together, their motto for season 2024, 104 thousand members are ready to see the Blues go that one step further and reclaim the premiership cup for the first time since 1995.

Where does your love for Carlton come from?

To be honest I didn’t have much of a choice as my mum wanted someone else to support Carlton with her, while my brother and dad are Essendon supporters. However, my love for the team grew from going to Carlton vs Essendon matches throughout my childhood and loving the whole experience of watching dedicated Blues fans backing the team no matter the result.

TOP PICKs FROM THE RANGE?

The Carlton Varsity Jacket and the Mega Loopback Tee.
